A typical energy switch takes between 3 to 4 weeks. However, the switch will naturally align with the end date of your current contract, provided you are within your renewal window. We monitor the whole process to ensure a seamless transition.

If you use OxyMarketing Ltd to switch, we will handle the termination notice for you. We just need your signed Letter of Authority (LOA), which gives us permission to notify your current supplier and process the switch on your behalf.

You can check your latest bill for an end date, or we prescribe you contact your provider directly and ask them when your agreement terminates, and how much notice you have to give. Alternatively, provide us with a Letter of Authority (LOA) and we will find out for you.

A rollover contract happens when your current energy contract expires and you haven't agreed to a new one or switched suppliers. Your supplier will automatically "roll" you onto a new, often much more expensive, out-of-contract rate. We help you avoid this by tracking your renewal dates.

MPAN stands for Meter Point Administration Number (for electricity), and MPRN stands for Meter Point Reference Number (for gas). These are unique reference numbers for your meters, required to get an accurate quote and process a switch. They can easily be found on your utility bills.

Unlike domestic contracts, commercial energy contracts are legally binding for their full duration. You generally cannot cancel them early without facing significant financial exit penalties, unless you are moving out of the premises (Change of Tenancy).
